In early October, we will be launching our new and improved website!
Omni Mental Health is starting an adapted DBT program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. Participants currently have access to individual DBT therapy and skills training through Omni's DBT therapists, and in late May, we are expecting to launch our adapted DBT skills group. Our therapists in the adapted DBT program each have 5-15 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, and have specific experience in adapting DBT to the needs of those with cognitive delays. Please contact us if you would like to make a referral!
Omni Mental Health has expanded their Dialectical Behavior Therapy program to include a DBT skills group specifically tailored for women who are facing the challenges of early motherhood. Our state certified program provides participants with weekly individual therapy and skills gropu therapy in which DBT skills are reviewed and practiced. Our clinicials teach DBT skills with an emphasis on how to apply them to specific challenges of parenthood and the distress that can accompany this transition. Best of all, children under the age of 18 months can attend sessions with their mother!
Participants work with an indvidual DBT therapist to identify and work on treatment goals related to reducing psychological distress, reducing unsafe behavior, and increasing parenting skills. Weekly homework assignments are given to help participants practice DBT skills and a dialy diary card is also used to track behaviors and skill usage. Participants also have access to phone coaching with their therapist, 24 hours a day.
Omni Mental Health has added a new location on Ruth Street in St. Paul. This will become our main location, however services will continue to be provided at our Robert Street location. Please see addresses listed on the right side of this page.
We are excited to welcome Megan Blommer to our team here at Omni Mental Health. She will be providing individual, couple and family therapy.
We are currently accepting new patients into our Dialectical Behavior Therapy program, located within Emma Norton Residence. This is located at 670 Robert St North in St. Paul. DBT participants do not need to reside at Emma Norton Residence in order to participate. Please contact us for more information.
