Support Without Judgment. Change With Purpose.
When patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, or relationships start to feel frustrating, confusing, or hard to break, it can be difficult to know where to start. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Together, we can take a closer look at what’s happening beneath the surface and identify practical, meaningful ways to create change that fits your life.
I’m Anton Evans, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in St. Paul, and I work with individuals, couples, and families who want to better understand themselves, improve communication, and make purposeful changes that lead to greater clarity, confidence, and long-term self-sufficiency.
Why Work With Me
Since 2015, I’ve worked in the mental health field, and I’ve been licensed as a therapist since 2020. My interest in therapy comes from my ability to understand how things work and my desire to use that skill to help people who want to improve their lives or feel better about themselves.
I work with adolescents ages 12 and up, adults, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, communication difficulties, and substance use issues. I’m especially drawn to working with people who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and want greater clarity, confidence, and direction moving forward.
My Therapy Approach
I take a, flexible approach to therapy, drawing from psychoanalysis, systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, narrative, and object relations frameworks. Rather than strictly following one model, I use the approaches and techniques that feel most useful and appropriate for each client’s unique situation.
My focus is on what will help you move toward your goals in a practical and meaningful way. I adapt in the moment, using what works and setting aside what doesn’t, so therapy remains purposeful, relevant, and responsive to your needs.
Addressing Common Concerns
Not sure if therapy is right for you? That’s a common feeling—and it’s okay to have questions or hesitations.
Here are some of the challenges I often help clients work through:
Anxiety and persistent worry
Depression and low mood
Self-esteem and confidence challenges
Communication difficulties in relationships
Assertiveness and boundary-setting skills
Systemic and relational stressors
Substance use and chemical dependency concerns
Whatever you're facing, therapy can be a supportive space to explore what’s going on and find ways to move forward.
A Bit About Me
Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying active and engaged in a variety of interests. I’m a runner, enjoy traveling, and spend a lot of my downtime exploring different forms of media, including gaming, television, and online content. I often bring an appropriate sense of humor into my work, believing that therapy can be both effective and human at the same time.
I value curiosity, perspective, and understanding—both in my personal life and in the therapy room—and I enjoy connecting with clients in a way that feels genuine and grounded.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re ready to begin or simply want to explore whether therapy is the right next step, I’m here to help. Whether you’re seeking individual, couples, or family therapy, we can work together in a way that feels practical, supportive, and aligned with your goals.
Reach out today to schedule your first session—I look forward to working with you when you’re ready.
