Helping You Build Confidence, Connection, and Clarity
Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether it’s navigating trauma, managing anxiety, working through relationship challenges, or simply feeling uncertain about your next steps. When emotions are heavy and clarity feels far away, it can be difficult to know where to turn.
I’m Cole Hardie, a practicum intern at Omni Mental Health’s St. Paul location. I work with individuals, couples, families, teens, and groups, offering a warm and personable space where you can feel supported and understood. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build stronger connections, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.
Why Work With Me
I believe therapy is a unique opportunity to be deeply known and heard—a place where you can gain self-knowledge and purpose. Clients who work with me often leave sessions feeling more confident about their next steps and more connected to themselves and others.
I work with a wide range of clients, but I have a particular passion for supporting teens, young adults, men, couples, and families. My areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity and self-esteem struggles, communication, and relationship concerns, as well as grief and loss.
Because I’m early in my clinical journey, I bring curiosity, energy, and a fresh perspective to every session. I’m committed to being fully present with you and working together to identify meaningful goals that fit your life.
My Approach to Therapy
I use a flexible, integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows me to adapt sessions to your unique needs, blending practical skills with deeper exploration of patterns, meaning, and self-understanding.
You can expect sessions that are collaborative, supportive, and focused on what matters most to you. I’ll help you explore your concerns in the context of your larger life, making connections that provide both insight and direction. My aim is to equip you with tools and confidence while creating space for deeper healing and growth.
Addressing Common Concerns
I understand that starting therapy can feel uncertain—especially if you’ve never worked with a therapist-in-training before. I want to assure you that while I’m a practicum intern, I’m supported by a team of licensed clinicians and receive ongoing supervision to ensure high-quality care.
Our first session will be a chance to get to know each other and begin identifying what brought you in and what you hope to change. There’s no pressure to have all the answers—we’ll take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.
Confidentiality is central to the process, with only a few safety-related exceptions that I’ll explain at the start. My priority is creating an environment where you feel safe, supported, and free to be yourself.
A Bit About Me
Outside of my professional life, I love spending time with friends, family, and especially with my wife. I enjoy playing and watching sports—especially basketball. I also love playing board games and traveling. These hobbies help me stay grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, connection, and balance—values I bring into my work with clients.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re ready to take steps toward healing, clarity, and confidence, I’d be honored to walk with you. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, therapy can be a powerful space for growth.
I currently offer in-person sessions at Omni Mental Health’s St. Paul location. If you’re interested in getting started, I’d be glad to connect, answer any questions, and help you decide if working together feels like the right fit.
