Creating Space for Healing, Growth, and Lasting Change.

We don’t have to figure life out on our own. I believe that therapy is an adaptable, highly effective resource that gives us the space to pause, breathe, and choose what we want to carry forward into our futures.

I am Kelly Berg, a practicum intern at Omni Mental Health in Blaine. My therapeutic style is built on a blend of warmth, curiosity, and authentic personal resilience. Having navigated my own difficult life chapters, I bring genuine compassion, insight, and empathy to the therapy room.

Why Work With Me

I don’t see therapy as a mechanism to “fix” you; rather, I view it as a collaborative environment where we can uncover your core strengths, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and work toward creating a healthier, more sustainable balance in your life. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported without judgment.

With 30 years of experience working with children, families, and individuals with neurodivergent needs, I understand how deeply our environments, relationships, and lived experiences shape the way we navigate the world. I bring a blend of warmth, curiosity, compassion, and practical insight into each session while creating space for honest conversations, self-reflection, and personal growth.

Whether you are experiencing burnout, relationship challenges, anxiety, life transitions, neurodivergent challenges, or healing from past trauma, my goal is to help you build practical, solution-focused tools that support lasting growth and resilience during life’s most difficult seasons.

My Therapy Approach

My approach to therapy balances open, gentle exploration with intentional, goal-directed support. I understand that every person’s experiences, relationships, and challenges are unique, which is why I draw from evidence-based approaches that can be adapted to fit your individual needs and goals.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, while Psychodynamic Therapy and psychoeducation help build insight into the “why” behind emotional and physiological responses. I also incorporate Narrative Therapy to support clients in re-authoring the stories they tell themselves about their past, present, and future. When appropriate, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) techniques to help clients safely work through anxiety, avoidance, and fear-based patterns at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

My goal is to create a space where you feel both supported and empowered while developing practical tools, deeper self-understanding, and lasting emotional growth.

Addressing Common Concerns

I work alongside clients navigating a variety of emotional, relational, and environmental stressors that can make daily life feel overwhelming or difficult to manage alone. Many of the individuals I support are working through relationship and connection challenges, including emotional disconnection, communication difficulties, trust concerns, or the impact of infidelity and relational strain.

I also have extensive experience supporting children, families, and individuals with neurodivergent needs, including ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, and autism spectrum needs. Together, we can explore practical tools and strategies that support emotional regulation, communication, organization, and everyday functioning in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.

In addition, I support clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief, and major life transitions. Whether you are processing deep-rooted past experiences, adjusting to changes within your family or identity, or simply trying to manage the overwhelming pace of life, my goal is to help you feel supported while building healthier patterns, stronger coping tools, and a greater sense of balance moving forward.

A Bit About Me

I am a firm believer that an effective life requires a conscious balance of structure and intentional rest. Outside of clinical work, I lean into the changing beauty of all four Minnesota seasons—yes, even the winters! You can usually find me outdoors, gardening, testing my limits on a pogo stick, or deep in friendly competition playing board and yard games. I love recharging through podcasts, audio books, and making memories with the close circle of family and friends who bring me joy.

Let’s Work Together

If you are ready to better understand your story, strengthen your relationships, and build practical tools for a healthier, more balanced life, I would be honored to support you in that journey. Together, we can create a space for healing, growth, and lasting change through in-person or virtual therapy sessions.
