Helping You Build Confidence, Connection, and Clarity

When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, it can be hard to know where to start. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating a major transition, you don’t have to go through it alone.

I’m Natalie Riley, a practicum intern at Omni Mental Health’s Blaine office. I provide counseling for individuals, couples, families, and teens, with a focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll work on building clarity, strengthening your relationships, and helping you move toward living in a way that feels true to yourself.

Why Work With Me

I see therapy as a team effort—one where your voice, experiences, and goals lead the way. Clients who work with me often appreciate my warm, down-to-earth style and the non-judgmental environment I bring to each session.

I especially enjoy working with people who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or identity-related challenges, and I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in their journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

Because I’m in the final stage of my graduate training at the University of St. Thomas, I bring fresh energy and perspective to my work, while being closely supported by experienced licensed clinicians and supervisors.

My Approach to Therapy

Every client is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs. I draw on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This means we can focus on practical tools for managing emotions and communication, while also exploring deeper patterns that may be shaping your life.

My goal is to help you gain both immediate strategies for coping and long-term growth that allows you to live more authentically and confidently.

Addressing Common Concerns

It’s normal to feel unsure about starting therapy or working with a practicum intern. I want to reassure you that you’ll be met with respect, care, and attention to your needs. I’ll take the time to get to know you, understand what you hope to work on, and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

As part of my training, I receive ongoing guidance and supervision from licensed clinicians, which ensures that you’re receiving thoughtful, high-quality care. Confidentiality is also an essential part of our work together, and I’ll explain exactly what that means during our first meeting.

A Bit About Me

Outside of my role as a therapist-in-training, I love being outdoors. In the summer, you’ll often find me running or hiking, and in the winter, I enjoy snowboarding. I also like playing volleyball, reading, and arts and crafts. One of the most rewarding parts of my life is spending time with my therapy dog, Martha—we love volunteering together. These activities keep me grounded and remind me of the value of balance, joy, and connection, which I bring into my work with clients.

Let’s Work Together

If you’re ready to begin exploring your goals, challenges, and hopes for the future, I’d be honored to support you. I currently offer in-person sessions at Omni Mental Health’s Blaine location. Reach out to get started, ask questions, or see if I might be the right fit for you.
