An Understanding, Supportive Partner in Your Healing Journey
If life has been feeling heavy, unclear, or out of balance, you’re not alone. Whether you're dealing with addiction, mental health struggles, relationship challenges, or simply trying to feel more grounded, therapy can be a meaningful place to sort through it all with care and support.
I'm Holly Rigelman, a practicum intern and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over a decade of experience helping people move through some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. My approach is warm and respectful, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I’m to help you explore your strengths, make sense of what’s been difficult, and move forward with greater clarity.
Why Work With Me
I began working in the counseling field in 2012, supporting individuals facing chronic addiction and complex mental health struggles. Over the years, I’ve come to believe that real healing happens when people feel genuinely connected and safe with someone who sees them as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.
While I have a strong background in addiction recovery, I’m currently expanding my work through a graduate internship where I’m learning to serve individuals across all walks of life. Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming emotions, uncertainty about your future, or strained relationships, I’ll meet you exactly where you are.
Clients who work with me can expect honesty, compassion, and space to show up exactly as they are. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. My goal is to walk alongside you as a fellow human, someone who believes in your ability to heal and grow at your own pace.
My Approach to Therapy
Therapy with me often feels like a meaningful conversation, centered on your experiences, challenges, and goals. Some sessions may follow a clear structure, while others are more open, depending on what you need that day. Either way, the focus is always on what matters most to you.
My approach is grounded in connection, honesty, and compassion. I aim to create an environment where you can unpack what’s weighing on you without pressure or judgment. You set the direction, and I’ll be there to help you sort through the hard stuff and move toward meaningful change.
I incorporate a variety of therapy methods to meet your individual needs, including:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – to support emotional regulation and distress tolerance
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help challenge unhelpful thinking patterns
Motivational Interviewing – to strengthen your own motivation and confidence in making change
Person-Centered Therapy – to provide a supportive, empowering relationship that honors your values and voice
As a practicum intern, I’m continuing to explore what works best for different clients. My goal is always to meet you where you are and tailor our work to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. That’s completely okay. One of the most important parts of this work is feeling respected, heard, and genuinely cared for.
I take confidentiality seriously and understand how valuable it is to feel emotionally safe when sharing your story. You can take your time. Your comfort, clarity, and trust matter from day one.
A Bit About Me
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a mom, a dog lover, and someone who finds joy in the little things like good food, campfires, and being out in nature. Some of my favorite moments come from hiking, camping, and exploring new places with my family.
These experiences remind me how important it is to slow down, stay curious, and connect with what really matters. I bring that same mindset into the work I do with clients.
Let’s Work Together
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s okay to have questions or feel unsure at first. Whether you're navigating addiction recovery, emotional challenges, or simply looking for support, I’m here to walk alongside you.
If you’re ready to begin, or even just curious about how therapy might help, I’d be honored to connect. Let’s talk about what you need and how we can get there.
