Helping You Navigate Life with Confidence and Compassion
Life doesn’t come with a road map, and sometimes, it feels like you’re stuck at a crossroads, unsure which way to turn. Whether you’re navigating overwhelming emotions, relationship struggles, or trying to make peace with your past, you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m Kao Lee Vang, a pre-licensed practitioner offering therapy in English and Hmong for clients in Blaine and across Minnesota through virtual care. I work with teens, adults, and couples to build the skills they need to manage life’s stressors, feel more grounded, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and create space for change, growth, and healing.
Why Work With Me
If you’re ready to take control of your emotions, reactions, and relationships, you’re in the right place. I work with teens (16+), young adults, couples, and families who are navigating a wide range of life transitions, emotional stressors, and identity-related challenges. Many of my clients are seeking support with setting healthy boundaries, improving communication, processing trauma, or reconnecting with who they are—especially those from LGBTQ+, Hmong, or Asian American backgrounds.
I became a therapist because I believe mental and emotional wellness is just as important as physical health. I’ve seen how stigma can keep people from getting the support they need—and I want to change that. My goal is to meet you with compassion and clarity, help you unlearn patterns that no longer serve you, and empower you to build the life and relationships you truly want.
Whether you’re working through relationship tension, self-doubt, stress, or deep emotional pain—therapy is a space where you can breathe, reflect, and grow.
My Therapy Approach
I think of therapy like a wellness road trip—you’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m here to support you along the way. Whether you come with clear goals or just know something isn’t right, we’ll move at your pace, shaping each session around what feels most helpful.
My approach is collaborative, flexible, and rooted in curiosity and care. I use a blend of:
Solution-Focused Therapy – For quick, practical tools and immediate relief
CBT – To explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect
Attachment Work – To understand relationship patterns, including with yourself
Narrative Therapy – To help you reshape the story you tell about your life
Feminist Theory Lens – To honor identity, cultural context, and lived experience
This mix allows us to explore your challenges while building coping skills, clarity, and a stronger connection to yourself.
Addressing Common Concerns
I work with clients who are facing a wide range of emotional, relational, and identity-related challenges. Some of the common issues we explore in therapy include:
Here are some of the challenges I commonly support clients through:
Emotional overwhelm
Communication issues
Boundary struggles

Trauma recovery
Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
Feeling stuck or lost
A Little About Me
Outside of therapy, I’m a wife, parent to a toddler and two dogs, and a first generation Hmong American daughter to immigrant parents. I find joy and gratitude in everyday moments—like binge-watching a good show, reading something inspiring, or taking walks with my family. I love traveling, trying new foods, and putting together puzzles or Legos.
Just like my clients, I’m always growing and learning. These personal parts of life help me stay grounded, present, and connected in the work I do.
