Helping Adults Navigate Life’s Changes with Confidence and Clarity
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by life changes, struggling with emotions that won’t settle, or caught in patterns that leave you feeling stuck you’re not alone.
I’m Susan Diekman, a prelicensed practitioner at Omni Mental Health in Blaine. I work with adults (18+) who are ready to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and take steps toward a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you move toward the life you want to live—one that reflects your values and strengths.
Why Work With Me
After a meaningful career in communications, I felt called to support people in a more personal way. Becoming a therapist is my encore career—rooted in care, purpose, and connection.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, BPD, or life transitions. Whether you’re navigating change or feeling stuck, I offer a calm, supportive space to explore what matters and move toward a life aligned with your values.
My Approach To Therapy
My therapy approach is grounded in DBT and supported by CBT and Person-Centered Therapy. I focus on teaching practical skills that help you manage emotions, reduce stress, and improve relationships. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs—whether you’re seeking support, tools, or a space to reflect. I offer a balance of compassion, structure, and encouragement so you feel heard and empowered as you grow.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re unsure what to expect. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control of your own process. You don’t have to come in with all the answers—we’ll figure things out together, one step at a time.
Common Concerns and What to Expect
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t need to have it all figured out. Many clients worry they won’t know what to say or whether their struggles are “serious enough.” The truth is, wherever you are is a good place to begin.
In sessions with me, you can expect:
A supportive, judgment-free space
Practical tools to manage what you’re facing
A pace that feels right for you
A collaborative, down-to-earth approach
We’ll focus on what matters most to you and take it one step at a time.
A Bit About Me
I grew up on a nursery, where I developed a lifelong love of nature and gardening—something that still grounds and restores me today. Outside of therapy, you can often find me reading a good book, cooking, exploring the arts, or planning my next travel adventure. I also enjoy quiet evenings at home with my husband and our tortoiseshell cat.
These moments outside of work help me stay centered and present so I can show up fully for the people I work with.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy is a space to reconnect with your values, explore what matters, and start building the life you want.
I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that path.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out and schedule an appointment at Omni Mental Health in Blaine.
